The Khmerism Keyboard Project, initiated by Lyheng Phuoy, serves as a noteworthy endeavor in the realm of digital linguistics. Beginning in 2014 during studies in Thailand, Phuoy embarked on a thorough exploration of existing keyboard layouts. This extensive research involved over 130 iterations of the keyboard, each undergoing rigorous evidence-based testing to arrive at the current iteration.
